Pocket Tutorial

Sewing on Pockets

Congratulations! You have acquired one of our limited edition patches made from recycled denim pockets. Now what do you do? These patches are unique because they can be added as a normal ole patch or as an extra pocket to any garment. Hell, you can remove that regular boring pocket off of your favorite pair of jeans and replace it with something more fun and more worthy of your ass(ets).
------------------------------------------------
By Hand:
Tools: Needle, Thread and a Few Pins
------------------------------------------------
Use a seam ripper to remove the original pocket.
------------------------------------------------
Pin the pocket to desired garment.
------------------------------------------------
Thread the needle. Tie a knot at one end of the thread and feed the needle from the underside of the garment through the patch and pull tight. With the needle still threaded, stitch back down through both layers to secure the patch into place.
------------------------------------------------
Continue stitching from one side all the way around until the patch is stitched into place. Tie a knot at the end of the stitching and enjoy.

By Machine:
Tools: Sewing Machine, Thread and Pins
------------------------------------------------
Pin the pocket to desired garment. Thread the machine. Start on one side of the patch and stitch around to the other to secure it in place. Remove the pins as you sew, and remember to use the reverse stitch to keep the thread from coming undone!

------------------------------------------------

Clip the threads on each side. Enjoy!
